I’m Mike Cleary with a Thanksgiving week postcard from Sonoma Country. There are over 200 wineries in 14 appellations in Sonoma Country. Impressive numbers, but they don’t tell the real story about wine and people who make it. Wineries defy classification. Some are small, some large, some grandiose and eye-popping, others modern or rustic. Same with the people. While they all share a common love for grape-growing and winemaking, they come in all sizes, shapes and personalities. Maybe it’s because they love what they do that makes them so friendly and accessible. People and wine, food and wine, place and wine. Magical combinations to be discovered in Sonoma Country.
